About the Role
The Welder position is responsible for carrying out welding and metal fabrication work as part of the business’s day-to-day operations. The role involves operating welding equipment, assembling metal components, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring welding work is completed accurately and efficiently in accordance with project specifications.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding activities using appropriate welding equipment and techniques
- Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications
- Assemble, weld, and repair metal components and structures as required
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy of work
- Operate workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment safely
- Assist with cutting, grinding, and fitting metal materials during fabrication activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workshop equipment and work areas
- Identify welding defects or operational issues and report them to supervisors where required
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures during all welding and fabrication activities
- Work collaboratively with workshop staff and supervisors to support smooth operational workflow
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of full-time relevant work experience in a similar role
- Experience using welding and fabrication equipment within a workshop environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety and workshop procedures
