Our client is an industry leader in complex steel structures and steel construction looking for an experienced Spray Painter / Painter to join their coatings team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a painter with experience in automotive or industrial spray painting who’s looking to transition into structural steel coatings. You’ll enjoy consistent full-time hours, a supportive environment, and the chance to secure a permanent role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare steel surfaces through cleaning, grinding, sanding, and blasting.
- Apply single-pack zinc phosphate primers using airless spray pumps.
- Apply two-pack epoxies, polyurethane, and polysiloxane coatings to high standards.
- Use Wet Film Thickness (WFT) gauges to measure and record coating thickness.
- Mix and handle paints using powered tools safely and accurately.
What You’ll Need
- Experience painting structural steel using single- and two-pack epoxies.
- Skilled with airless spray equipment and familiar with WFT gauges.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and abrasive blasting.
- Experience operating overhead cranes safely (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Automotive spray painters are encouraged to apply!
