    About the role:

    • Assist Speech Pathologists in delivering therapy to children in various settings (home, school and clinic).
    • Provide individualised support to children, focusing on enhancing their communication skills and independence.
    • Help in creating, implementing and monitoring therapy plans to ensure positive outcomes.
    • Document progress and assist with assessments and reports, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of each child’s abilities.
    • Work closely with families, providing support and actively listening to their needs and goals.
    • Be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, helping to create an integrated approach to care.

    Essential criteria:

    • Relevant qualification (eg. Allied Health Assistance) or upcoming qualification in the field of Speech Pathology.
    • Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant for Speech Pathologists or Speech Pathology Assistant is desirable but not required.
    • NSW driver's license and own transport 
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to follow a therapy plan as delegated by a therapist and respond to feedback.
