ROLE OVERVIEW

INTUITIVE TECHNOLOGIES AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and technology solutions that support business operations and client requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and scalable software solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into software specifications and system designs.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, web platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems.

• Develop and optimise database structures, data models, and backend services to ensure high performance and reliability.

• Troubleshoot software defects, perform debugging activities, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver software projects within scope, budget, and timelines.

• Conduct code reviews and implement best-practice software engineering standards, security protocols, and quality assurance procedures.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, development processes, testing procedures, and user guides.

• Monitor system performance and undertake continuous improvements to enhance functionality, scalability, and user experience.

• Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.

• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in software development or software engineering.

• Demonstrated experience with software development methodologies, object-oriented programming principles, and application lifecycle management.

• Strong knowledge of database technologies, web services, APIs, and software testing frameworks.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience with Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation technologies, and Agile project delivery methodologies.
