The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is seeking an experienced and confident criminal lawyer to join our team as a Senior Summary Prosecutor.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a dynamic advocacy role at the forefront of criminal prosecution. You’ll lead complex matters in the Local Court, including in Bush Circuit and Community Court, appearing in bail and arrest proceedings, directions hearings, youth prosecutions, preliminary examinations, appeals, and more. You’ll also play a key role instructing in Supreme Court trials—offering valuable exposure to higher court work.

We’re looking for a skilled advocate who thrives in court, brings sound judgment, and has a strong track record conducting hearings in the lower jurisdictions. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and build effective working relationships will be critical to your success.
