As part of our ongoing business growth, we are seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Retail Manager to lead operations and support the continued success of our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff performance, maintaining customer service standards, and ensuring the business operates efficiently, safely, and in line with company policies.

Position: Retail Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Oporto to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
  2. Manage product presentation, food quality, and service standards in line with customer expectations and brand requirements
  3. Develop and implement pricing, promotional, and sales strategies to support business performance
  4. Provide customers with professional service, product knowledge, and support when required
  5. Monitor inventory, stock levels, ordering, and wastage to maintain accurate records and minimise losses
  6. Track sales performance and assist in achieving financial targets and budgets
  7. Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff to ensure high performance and strong teamwork
  8. Prepare staff rosters, delegate duties, and manage labour requirements effectively
  9. Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
  10. Ensure returned, damaged, or unsuitable products are handled according to policies
  11. Maintain cleanliness, presentation, workplace safety, and food safety standards
  12. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant workplace procedures
  13. Support a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment

Requirements

  1. At least one year of experience as a Retail Manager, Restaurant Manager, =similar leadership role
  2. Strong leadership, staff supervision, and time-management skills
  3. Good understanding of stock control, ordering, sales performance, and daily store operations
  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or quick-service restaurant environment
  6. Reliable, proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a team effectively
  8. Candidates with a Diploma of Hospitality will be given priority.
