As part of our ongoing business growth, we are seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Retail Manager to lead operations and support the continued success of our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff performance, maintaining customer service standards, and ensuring the business operates efficiently, safely, and in line with company policies.
Position: Retail Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Oporto to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
- Manage product presentation, food quality, and service standards in line with customer expectations and brand requirements
- Develop and implement pricing, promotional, and sales strategies to support business performance
- Provide customers with professional service, product knowledge, and support when required
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, ordering, and wastage to maintain accurate records and minimise losses
- Track sales performance and assist in achieving financial targets and budgets
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff to ensure high performance and strong teamwork
- Prepare staff rosters, delegate duties, and manage labour requirements effectively
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Ensure returned, damaged, or unsuitable products are handled according to policies
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, workplace safety, and food safety standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant workplace procedures
- Support a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a Retail Manager, Restaurant Manager, =similar leadership role
- Strong leadership, staff supervision, and time-management skills
- Good understanding of stock control, ordering, sales performance, and daily store operations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or quick-service restaurant environment
- Reliable, proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a team effectively
- Candidates with a Diploma of Hospitality will be given priority.
