ASA Recruitment is seeking motivated and capable professionals to fill multiple APS 6 Recruitment roles. If you are a dedicated recruitment practitioner who enjoys delivering meaningful outcomes, this is your opportunity to take the next step.

As an APS 6 Recruitment Manager, you will play a key role in shaping recruitment outcomes while working with a high level of autonomy and accountability. You will be empowered to take initiative, apply sound judgement, and navigate complex policies and procedures to deliver high-quality results.

In this role, you will provide expert recruitment advice on complex matters, collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to broader strategic priorities. You will also have the opportunity to influence workforce outcomes through involvement in planning, program and project management, and policy development.

This is a role where your expertise will be valued, your judgement trusted, and your impact visible.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Take ownership of the quality and integrity of recruitment data and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the Agency’s e-Recruitment and HR information systems
  2. Build strong, collaborative relationships by anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs, helping deliver successful outcomes for both your team and the Australian Submarine Agency
  3. Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to share insights, navigate complex recruitment matters, and influence informed, effective hiring decisions
  4. Apply your knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures to resolve complex recruitment issues and determine the most appropriate course of action
  5. Coordinate and manage recruitment activities end-to-end, including making informed decisions on recruitment requests and ensuring selection outcomes are processed accurately and in line with established procedures

About our Team

As part of the ASA Recruitment team, you will collaborate across multiple domains - locally and nationally - to deliver successful outcomes for the Australian Submarine Agency.

Our team operates in a complex and fast-paced environment within a geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary branch.

We bring together diverse skills, knowledge, and experience, all supported by an engaged and encouraging Executive Team.

We are proud of our highly capable, committed, and enthusiastic people. We foster an inclusive culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and psychological safety, while encouraging innovation and new ideas.

We also offer flexible working arrangements and a range of formal and informal professional development opportunities to support your growth and career progression.

If you are looking to be part of an exciting journey and work alongside a supportive and high-performing team, we would love to hear from you.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are a dynamic organization seeking employees who are agile, innovative and energised by high-paced work. We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative minded people who will have the opportunity to contribute to a once in a lifetime program.

While experience in recruitment and familiarity with systems such as Accendre eRecruit are highly regarded, they are not essential. What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, adapt, and bring your existing skills into a new and meaningful context.

We are looking for people who are curious, capable, and ready to translate their experience into delivering impactful recruitment outcomes for the Australian Submarine Agency.

We are especially interested in candidates who bring:

  1. Strong people skills – the ability to build trusted, productive relationships and engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
  2. A team-first mindset – with the capability to support and uplift others through coaching, feedback, and sharing knowledge to strengthen team performance
  3. Analytical thinking – confidence in interpreting and applying legislation, policies, and procedures to inform sound, well-reasoned decisions
  4. A passion for service delivery – with the ability to manage competing priorities, stay organised, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal direction
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills – bringing initiative, creativity, and sound judgement to complex challenges
  6. A positive and adaptable approach – with a genuine desire to contribute to a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing team while applying flexibility to support Agency needs
