Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

The Wesley Hospital is currently seeking a Psychologist to support our Day Rehabilitation and Outpatient services.

Joining our allied health professionals at The Wesley Rehabilitation Centre, you will provide one-to-one and group-based programs for people with a variety of medical and clinical presentations including cancer, chronic pain, neurological, reconditioning, orthopaedic, gender health and cardio-respiratory conditions.

You will assist your patients to identify and learn coping strategies to manage their physical and/or mental health symptoms, working collaboratively to tailor and create individual treatment plans. Modalities may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Tertiary Degree in Psychology

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Australian Working Rights (we are unable to sponsor at this time)

  • Minimum of two years post graduate experience

  • Experience working in both individual and group settings

  • Skills within ACT, CBT and mindfulness-based approaches

  • Enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team
