Project Manager - Architecturally Designed Homes - Alexandria

Position Overview:

A well-known, award-winning architectural home builder is on the lookout for a Project Manager to join the team. The role will see you overseeing up to two architectural builds at a time, typically in the $1m – $8m range, all located in the Eastern Suburbs.

It’s a great opportunity for someone already working in high-end residential who’s looking for a business with a better culture and solid reputation. It could also suit someone with an architectural background who’s keen to step into a project management role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage multiple architecturally designed projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure project success.
  3. Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  4. Monitor project progress, resolve any issues or delays, and maintain a strong focus on quality and safety.
  5. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
  6. Manage procurement processes, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits.
  8. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  1. A trade background OR Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Architecture
  2. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering architecturally designed projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of project management software and tools.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  8. Knowledge of building codes and regulations
