Production Manager

CNC Sheet Metal Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and coordinate our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, optimal resource utilisation, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor production strategies, policies, and operational plans
2. Plan and coordinate production activities, including output quality and quantity, cost efficiency, timelines, and workforce requirements
3. Manage the operation of production facilities, including maintenance planning, scheduling of operating hours, and ensuring the availability of materials, parts, and tools
4. Monitor production performance and costs, and implement process improvements to maximise efficiency and minimise expenses
5. Provide regular updates to senior management on production performance and operational matters
6. Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment
7. Lead research and development initiatives to improve production methods and processes
8. Ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of production records and reports
9. Enforce and coordinate compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
10. Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff performance to maintain high productivity and workplace standards

Candidate Requirements:

1. Demonstrated experience in a production or manufacturing management role
2. Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
3. Proven ability to manage resources, optimise processes, and meet production targets
4. Thorough understanding of quality control and workplace health and safety standards
