Do you have a knack for transforming plastic into high-quality products? As a Plastics Technician/Fitter, you'll play a vital role in crafting complex plastic components using cutting-edge welding techniques.

What You'll Do:

Craft with Precision: Operation Machinery to fabricate and assemble complex plastic products, wielding your skills in welding, cutting, forming, bending, and shaping plastic to exacting design specifications.

Master of the Tools: Utilise power tools, machinery, hand tools, hand welders, and precision equipment to construct durable plastic products.

Inspecting quality: Inspecting parts for defects and ensuring they meet specifications

From Blueprint to Reality: Read and interpret work orders and drawings, meticulously translating them into flawless plastic creations.

Maintaining Machinery: Maintaining work area and equipment

Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor to refine techniques and ensure consistent, repeatable manufacturing processes.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Partner with the Manufacturing Supervisor to prioritise tasks, proactively communicate potential challenges, and work effectively within the team.

Who You Are:

Experienced Technician/fitter: Minimum of 3 years' experience in plastics fabrication). Familiarity with a variety of plastic materials like HDPE, PP, PVC, ECTFE, PTFE, and PVDF is a plus. Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Plastic Technology or equivalent

A Measurement Maestro: Proficiency in using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and height/depth gauges to ensure precise measurements.

The Blueprint Whisperer: Proven ability to read and understand drawings, instructions, and geometric tolerances.

Communication is Key: Clear and effective communication with coworkers and supervisors is essential.

Independent Spirit: You're a self-starter with a strong sense of motivation and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Problem-Solver Extraordinaire: You thrive on finding solutions and consistently deliver results.

Team Player: You value collaboration and can seamlessly work within a fast-paced team environment.
