Our Employee Value Proposition is “Being a part of Eastern Health means belonging to a welcoming team of healthcare experts”.

This statement aligns with our promise to our communities, patients, consumers and staff that we will be HEALTHIER TOGETHER. Bolder than a vision for the future, our promise calls us to action. We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced administrative professional to join the Eastern Health team at Box Hill Hospital on a limited term part-time (3 days per week) basis until the end of January 2027.

We are seeking an agile, responsive, and highly organised administration professional to provide high level executive support to the Clinical Program Director Medicine Program and Clinical Services Director Acute Medicine.

In this dynamic and fast-paced position, you will act as a central point of coordination, ensuring seamless administrative support across multiple portfolios. You will manage complex calendars and rosters, prepare documentation, support governance activities, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires someone who thrives on variety, demonstrates initiative, and approaches all tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Highly organised with excellent time-management capabilities
  • Adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Skilled in communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Confident in working both independently and as part of a broader team
  • Experienced in executive-level administrative and PA roles (healthcare experience desirable)
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal capabilities and provides confident, professional support across senior leadership functions
  • Effective contributor within diverse teams
  • Exceptional communication and organisational abilities

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
