Joining our high-performing P&C team spanning Business Partnering, Organisational Development, Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition, you will play a critical role in embedding yourself within your portfolio and becoming a trusted advisor to leaders at all levels.

In this true partnering role, you will build strong, credible relationships to proactively support workforce planning, talent and succession strategies, and leadership capability uplift. You’ll embed yourself within the business, building strong, trusted relationships and providing proactive, commercially grounded people advice across a predominantly white-collar portfolio, whilst translating business strategy into practial, high-impact people initiatives that strengthen performance and culture.

Supported by deep specialist expertise across the broader P&C function, you will be empowered to focus on what matters most — delivering the People Plan, enhancing leadership capability, and navigating complex workforce challenges through performance management, succession planning, and leadership capability uplift, whilst driving improvements across a range of critical people projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, forward-thinking HR professional who is looking to step into a role with genuine ownership, visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business partner to operational and corporate leaders, building strong relationships and embedding yourself within the business.
  • Provide expert advice on industrial and employee relations matters, including interpretation of Enterprise Agreements and supporting a blue-collar workforce.

  • Support the delivery of the broader People Plan across your portfolio/s.
  • Coach leaders to build capability in performance management, leadership effectiveness and people decision-making.
  • Lead and support complex people projects and change initiatives.
  • Work autonomously to resolve issues while leveraging specialist support (ER, OD, TA) where required.
  • Collaborate with a connected national P&C team to ensure alignment and consistency in approach.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Mandatory: demonstrated experience in a senior HR advisory or business parterning role, working with senior leaders within a medium to large organisation.
  • A track record working with senior leaders at a large organisation on HR matters, such as performance management, leadership coaching, succession planning, workforce planning, and organisational change initiatives.
  • Experience supporting a white-collar workforce, ideally in an engineering, construction or project based environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusted and enduring relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exposure to complex organisational and workforce challenges.
  • Strong capability in coaching and influencing leaders to improve engagement and performance outcomes.
  • A proactive, “go-getter” mindset — someone who builds credibility and actively embeds themselves within the business.
