Positions: Panel Beaters, Spray Painters & Motor Mechanics

C & C Panel & Paint Mackay Pty Ltd is a locally run automotive restoration business that has been servicing the Mackay community for more than 10 years. Our reputation honesty, quality workmanship and affordability has grown steadily throughout the decades.

We are currently looking for skilled Panel Beaters, Spray Painters & Motor Mechanics to join our team. These are full-time, permanent positions.

Panel Beater

The successful applicant must be able to handle the following tasks unsupervised:

1. Removing damaged panels from vehicles.
2. Hammering dents out of panels.
3. Straightening out damaged vehicles using hydraulic equipment.
4. Replacing crumpled panels with new or as-new panels.
5. Filling holes and dents with plastic, shaping and sanding into a smooth surface.
6. Refitting locks, trim and bumpers.
7. Welding new and existing parts together.
8. Thorough knowledge of automotive industry safety specifications and regulations

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Trade qualified Panel Beater and has at least 5 years working experience
2. Able to work in a team environment and can work unsupervised and at times, under pressure
3. High attention to detail

Spray Painter

The successful applicant must be able to handle the following tasks unsupervised:

1. Prep up vehicle for painting
2. Colour match metallic and Pearl colours
3. Paint Vehicles
4. Buff & Polish painted panels
5. Monitor and Order Paint and Consumables
6. Supervise and instruct apprentices

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Trade qualified Vehicle Painter and has at least 5 years working experience
2. Able to work in a team environment and can work unsupervised and at times, under pressure
3. High attention to detail

Motor Mechanic

The successful applicant must be able to handle the following tasks unsupervised:

1. Carry out service and repair on vehicles of all makes and models
2. Diagnose vehicle faults
3. Follow corret procedures and guidelines
4. Receive and check new parts if required to ensure there is no damage

Skills and experience required:

1. A qualification in Vehicle Mechanical Technology or has 5 years working experience
2. Able to work in a team environment and can work unsupervised and at times, under pressure
3. High attention to detail

Salary Range: $73,150 to $85,000
