Salary: $80,000 plus 12% superannuation.

The business provides both workshop-based and mobile automotive repair services across Geelong and surrounding regions. The client is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic who will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining a variety of passenger vehicles while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
-Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
-Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify required repairs and maintenance.
-Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
-Repair and replace engine components, cooling systems, suspension systems, steering systems and driveline components.
-Carry out brake, clutch, timing belt and timing chain repairs and replacements.
-Perform alternator, starter motor, battery and drive belt replacements.
-Conduct engine performance testing and system diagnostics.
-Repair and service vehicle air conditioning systems where applicable.
-Inspect, dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical assemblies and vehicle components.
-Perform roadworthy inspections and quality control checks before vehicle delivery.
-Fit and install vehicle accessories and replacement parts.
-Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair recommendations to management.
-Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and maintain a clean and organised workshop.
-Collaborate effectively with other technicians and service staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
Skills and Qualifications
-Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
-Minimum one year of relevant post-qualification experience as a Motor Mechanic.
-Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
-Experience working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
-Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagnostic reports.
-Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Valid driver's licence preferred.
