About the Role
The Motor Mechanic position is responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work as part of the business's day-to-day workshop operations. The role supports workshop productivity by ensuring vehicles are inspected, serviced, and repaired in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical faults using testing and diagnostic equipment
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a range of vehicles
- Repair and replace defective engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical components
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements
- Test and adjust mechanical systems following repairs and maintenance activities
- Carry out engine tuning and general mechanical repairs as required
- Maintain records relating to vehicle servicing, repairs, and parts usage
- Ensure workshop tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and organised condition
- Communicate repair findings and maintenance requirements to supervisors where required
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of full-time relevant work experience in a similar role
- Experience performing vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair work
- Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and repair procedures
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a workshop and team environment
