Due to continued business growth, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.
Salary
$81,000 per annum plus Superannuation
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a range of motor vehicles while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Skills and Experience Required
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- Trade qualification in Automotive Technology
- Diploma qualification will be highly regarded
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic in an Australian workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems
- Carrying out repairs and replacement of worn or defective parts and components
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative vehicle maintenance
- Testing and adjusting repaired systems to ensure safety and proper performance
- Tuning engines using diagnostic and electronic testing equipment
- Repairing and maintaining vehicle electrical systems including ignition, lighting, and fuel injection systems
- Reassembling engines and mechanical components following repair work
- Attending breakdown and repair service requirements when required
- Maintaining accurate records of servicing and repair work completed
- Ensuring workshop cleanliness and compliance with workplace safety standards
