As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our experienced automotive team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of motor vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
  2. Inspect engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering systems, and other mechanical components to identify faults and required repairs
  3. Use electronic diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to detect mechanical and electrical issues
  4. Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and vehicle safety inspections
  5. Perform repairs and replacement of defective or worn components, including engines, brakes, suspension parts, and other vehicle systems
  6. Conduct road tests and quality checks to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently after repairs
  7. Perform roadworthy-related inspections and ensure vehicles meet applicable safety requirements
  8. Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing activities, parts used, and inspection outcomes
  9. Ensure all mechanical work is completed in compliance with workplace health and safety procedures
  10. Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organised manner
  11. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve efficient workflow and high customer service standards
  12. Communicate professionally with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair requirements, and maintenance recommendations when required

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent automotive qualification
  2. Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role
  3. Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems
  4. Experience working with a variety of petrol and diesel vehicles
  5. Knowledge of roadworthy inspections and vehicle safety standards will be highly regarded
  6. Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment, tools, and workshop technology
  7. Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  9. Good time-management skills with the ability to complete tasks efficiently
  10. Strong commitment to workplace safety and delivering high-quality workmanship
  11. Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a positive attitude
  12. Availability to work weekends or additional hours when required
