Motor Mechanic

Motor Mechanic DD Tyre & Auto is looking for Motor Mechanics/Technicians to work with us. We are looking to employ suitable and qualified candidates to fulfil the vacant positions at our Truganina Store and Dubbo store.

Task and Duties include:

1. Review Work Orders (what needs to be fixed on the vehicle) and discuss work with supervisor.

2. Check motors that are running, road test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components using testing devices to find the problem in the vehicle;

3. Tyre repair and maintenance such as changing tyres, repairing punctured tyres, wheel balance, wheel alignment, etc.;

4. Change, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including fuel, brake, steering and suspension;

5. Systems, transmissions, differentials, drive axles and shafts, emission control and exhaust systems, engines and electrical;

6. Cooling and climate control systems by using hand tools and other specialised automotive repair equipment;

7. Test and change repaired systems to the required standards;

8. Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups;

9. Advice customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements; and,

10. Follow safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Certificate III in Automotive with minimum 1 year of work experience Or Certificate IV in Automotive with minimum 1 year of work experience
