As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Motel Manager to lead our operations and drive business performance.

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and hands-on Motel Manager who will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the motel. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction, efficient operations, revenue growth, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record in accommodation management.

Key Responsibilities

·Manage and coordinate front desk operations, including reservations, guest check-ins, room assignments and housekeeping schedules;

·Supervise the motel safety measures, including security systems and regular check and updates of the gardens and buildings facilities;

·Organize and manage food and beverage services, as well as special events held in the motel;

·Ensure compliance with liquor and other legal standards required for the motel’s operations;

·Regular evaluate and monitor guests’ feedback to improve overall service quality and customer satisfaction;

·Oversee the front desk day-to-day accounting tasks and purchase supplies for daily office operation;

·Make sure that the property adheres to health, safety and occupational regulations, keeping the environment safe for both guests and employees;

·Provide the guest with local tourism information, including details on nearby attractions, tour lines and transport options;

·Develop and implement strategies to improve the motel’s overall efficiency and guest experience;

·Handle staffing issues, including training employees, managing schedules and addressing performance or service concerns.

·Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in motel, hotel, accommodation, or hospitality management.
  2. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  3. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  4. Excellent English with at least competent level.
  5. At least bachelor or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  6. Demonstrated ability to combine financial management, business analysis, and technology systems to improve operational efficiency, revenue performance, and customer satisfaction.
  7. Demonstrated experience managing budgets and operational performance.
  8. Sound understanding of reservation systems and property management software.
  9. Ability to work independently and make effective business decisions.
  10. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  11. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and after-hours when required.

Desirable

  1. Experience with revenue management and occupancy optimisation.
  2. Proven capability to integrate business management, financial planning, and digital technologies to enhance guest experience and business performance.
  3. Knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
  4. First Aid Certificate.
