About the Role:
As a Mortgage Broker, you will be the primary point of contact for clients’ lending needs while working alongside a dedicated support team. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, making this role both dynamic and rewarding.
You will collaborate closely with the Director to drive the residential lending division through an exciting growth phase, preparing credit submissions, finance documents and providing expert guidance to clients.
You’ll actively manage relationships, nurture new business opportunities and contribute directly to the firm’s growth and reputation. With a steady stream of inbound enquiries, your expertise and relationship-building skills will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound enquiries while identifying and developing new client opportunities
- Conduct thorough financial assessments to determine clients’ mortgage needs and goals
- Provide expert advice on mortgage options, interest rates and repayment plans
- Assist clients with mortgage applications and collate required documentation
- Liaise with lenders to secure optimal mortgage rates and terms for clients
- Guide clients seamlessly through the mortgage approval and settlement process
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, lending products and market trends
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents and financial institutions
- Achieve or exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the team
- Lead and mentor Client Administrators, supporting their professional growth
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage broking or lending advice
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Mortgage Broking
- Proven track record in broking, managing clients from application to settlement
- Strong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Ability to work autonomously while driving business growth
- Excellent problem-solving and relationship-building skills, with a talent for converting leads into loans
- Established referral network and a commitment to continuous professional development
