High Limit Studio’s engineers, artists, and mathematicians collaborate closely to deliver high-quality gaming experiences driven by market intelligence and advanced mathematical analytics. High Limit Studio is passionate about creating games that are fun, intuitive and visually engaging.

The OpportunityHigh Limit Studio is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join the growing development team in Sydney. This is a hybrid role, requiring minimum 2 days in the Ashfield office – or as projects dictate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building high-performance iGaming systems, and working collaboratively within a creative environment.

You will contribute to the design, development, optimisation, and maintenance of reel-based iGaming casino game products across multiple platforms.

What you will be responsible for:-Lead software development efforts across iGaming projects, including task coordination and team guidance.

-Design, develop, test, and maintain iGaming software applications and backend systems

-Work on iGaming casino game reporting systems to meet regulatory and compliance requirements across different markets

-Participate in the sound engineering and integration of game audio

-Collaborate with game designers, mathematicians, artists, and product teams to implement engaging iGaming casino game features

-Develop scalable and high-performance software solutions for iGaming platforms

-Participate in system architecture design, code reviews, and technical discussions

-Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications to improve functionality and performance

-Integrate APIs, gaming engines, and third-party systems where required

-Ensure software quality through unit testing, documentation, and adherence to development standards

-Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and technical innovation

Skills and Experience-Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

-Minimum of 3 years’ software development experience in the i-gaming industry

-Strong professional programming experience in: TypeScript and C#

-Experience in developing and maintaining online casino gaming compliance or reporting systems

-Experience working with custom game engines, rendering frameworks, or proprietary development tools

-Good understanding of slot game architecture, mathematical game logic, probability systems, RTP, and volatility concepts

-Experience working with game-related data analytics or telemetry systems

-Familiarity and working knowledge with game certification and compliance requirements across regulated markets

-Experience integrating backend services, APIs, or platform features into game clients

-Knowledge of software version control systems such as Git

-Experience using modern development workflows and coding assistance tools such as Codex

-Strong debugging, optimisation, and problem-solving skills

-Ability to work collaboratively with designers, mathematicians, QA, and artists in an agile development environment
