E-novation Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated First Class CNC Machinist to join our innovative engineering and manufacturing team in Bibra Lake, Western Australia.

As a full time CNC machinist, your daily duties include:

  1. Set up, program and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines
  2. Experience with modern CNC controls, preferably Okuma
  3. Experience with CAD/CAM systems such as SolidCAM, including toolpath programming and machining strategy development
  4. Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
  5. Select the right tooling/insert and jigs for the required application
  6. Manufacture precision components to high tolerances
  7. Perform quality inspections using measuring instruments
  8. Select correct feeds and speeds.
  9. Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic alloys
  10. Assist with continuous improvement of machining processes
  11. Maintain safe work practices and equipment maintenance
  12. Mentor apprentices and junior machinists and support skills development within the workshop
  13. Contribute to efficient workshop organisation and job planning

Skills and Experience

  1. AQF Certificate Ill in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, or equivalent or relevant experience
  2. At least five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  3. Experience in using CAD and CNC programming is highly advantage
  4. Previous experience with 5-axis CNC Milling an advantage
  5. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
  6. Experience with precision machining and measuring instruments
  7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
