We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of our manufacturing processes.
Minimum requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics
- Post Graduate degree will be well considered
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical and mechatronic breakdowns on the appointed shift
- Ensure that the production line is keeping to its planned output
- Submit weekend maintenance requirement to Maintenance supervisor daily
- Submit shutdown maintenance requirement to maintenance supervisor weekly
- Maintain the time sheets required to enable maintenance supervisor to code hours to the relevant machine or project
- Take an active part in all meetings and project get togethers
- Design out recurring issues and submit plan to maintenance supervisor
- Work closely with production to ensure they are well supported
- Competency in machine operations to the extent where the successful candidate will be able to be a back up to production
- Strong focus on continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualities Required:
- Degree in Mechatronics
- Analytical skills
- Programming
- Good working knowledge of electrical requirements
- The ability and willingness to work hands on for 90% of the shift
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- The ability and willingness to move shifts with short notice as required
- Ability to create training manuals and impart training to maintenance, electrical and production staff
- The ability to logically solve day to day problems and the ability to design out recurring breakdowns
- Experience with the safety required on a production line
- The ability and willingness to be part of the site safety committee and chair safety meetings with minutes and measurable actions.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, automation, and mechatronics principles.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical, process, and fabrication teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Proficient in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD and SolidWorks,)
