We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of our manufacturing processes.

Minimum requirement

  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics
  2. Post Graduate degree will be well considered
  3. Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Manage mechanical and mechatronic breakdowns on the appointed shift
  2. Ensure that the production line is keeping to its planned output
  3. Submit weekend maintenance requirement to Maintenance supervisor daily
  4. Submit shutdown maintenance requirement to maintenance supervisor weekly
  5. Maintain the time sheets required to enable maintenance supervisor to code hours to the relevant machine or project
  6. Take an active part in all meetings and project get togethers
  7. Design out recurring issues and submit plan to maintenance supervisor
  8. Work closely with production to ensure they are well supported
  9. Competency in machine operations to the extent where the successful candidate will be able to be a back up to production
  10. Strong focus on continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualities Required:

  1. Degree in Mechatronics
  2. Analytical skills
  3. Programming
  4. Good working knowledge of electrical requirements
  5. The ability and willingness to work hands on for 90% of the shift
  6. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  7. The ability and willingness to move shifts with short notice as required
  8. Ability to create training manuals and impart training to maintenance, electrical and production staff
  9. The ability to logically solve day to day problems and the ability to design out recurring breakdowns
  10. Experience with the safety required on a production line
  11. The ability and willingness to be part of the site safety committee and chair safety meetings with minutes and measurable actions.
  12. Strong understanding of electrical systems, automation, and mechatronics principles.
  13. Work collaboratively with mechanical, process, and fabrication teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  14. Proficient in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD and SolidWorks,)
