Key Responsibilities
The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in driving Star Sparky’s online growth across our e-commerce platform and digital channels. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies to support business growth across electrical and air-conditioning product categories.
- Planning and executing digital campaigns to increase online traffic, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
- Managing and optimising social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) to build brand awareness and generate sales leads.
- Creating content strategies aligned with product categories such as air conditioners, lighting, electrical tools, and solar accessories
- Analysing website and campaign performance using data insights to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Conducting market and competitor research to identify new opportunities in the Australian electrical wholesale and e-commerce sector.
- Supporting SEO optimisation, blog content development, and product promotion through the company website and online store
- Collaborating with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with product launches, promotions, and stock availability.
- Coordinating with external partners or digital agencies to execute advertising and promotional campaigns.
- Supporting pricing promotion campaigns and ensuring consistency across online channels.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Marketing Specialist / Digital Marketer.
- Experience must be within e-commerce, retail, electrical, air-conditioning, tools, or related industry.
- At least 1 year of hands-on management of Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram business accounts.
- Experience working with online stores or product-based websites is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma or higher qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Website Development or related field.
Required Skills & Competencies
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of e-commerce marketing and online retail customer behaviour.
- Ability to develop data-driven marketing strategies and campaign plans.
- Experience in SEO, Google Analytics, and digital performance tracking.
- Strong content creation skills for product marketing and blog-based promotion.
- Knowledge of social media advertising (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
- Ability to work with product categories and translate technical product information into customer-friendly messaging.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret sales and marketing data.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced online retail environment.
