Manual Machinist

2XM Recruit are currently looking for a Manual Machinist with lathe & milling experience for an exciting opportunity to secure a long-term role south of Perth. 
 
Out Client, who is a leader in the Australian manufacturing sector have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Machinist to join the team. This position will suit someone who is looking for steady, consistent work, home in time for dinner every night! 
 
The role:

• Machining lathe base plates from a structure to ensure stability
• Re-machining and installation of faulty plates
• Interpretation of specific technical drawings, blueprints & schematics
• Quality control and inspection of completed machined components
• Operation of heavy lathes and milling machines
• Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures in both the local workshop and on-site

 
 Requirements:

• Australian Trade Certificate – Mechanical
• Previous experience operating lathe and/ or milling machines
• Previous heavy plate experience is advantageous but not essential 
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing faults with equipment and components
