The Opportunity

The Eastern Health Clinical School is seeking an experienced Research Fellow to contribute to an internationally collaborative EORTC-funded project focused on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in cancer. Working closely with European collaborators and investigators at Monash University and University of Copenhagen, the role will support project delivery across all phases, including protocol development, ethics submissions, data collection, stakeholder engagement, and multi-site collaboration management.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful research focused on improving the measurement and understanding of patient experiences and outcomes in cancer care. The position will support the design and delivery of studies, quantitative analysis and psychometric evaluation of PRO data, and dissemination of findings through publications and conferences. The role will also contribute to a collaborative research environment through mentoring, supervision, and engagement with professional and scholarly networks.

The successful candidate will bring strong quantitative research and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working across multidisciplinary teams. A doctoral qualification, or progress towards a doctorate, in psychology, psychometrics, (bio)statistics, public health, medical science, medicine, or a related field is preferred. Experience in manuscript preparation, ethics applications, research project delivery, and patient-reported outcomes or health outcomes research will be highly regarded. Commencing by 1 August 2026, the position offers a hybrid work arrangement with some on-site attendance required at the Eastern Health Clinical School, Box Hill.

Join a collaborative research environment and apply your skills to support impactful cancer outcomes research with international reach—this is a great opportunity and we look forward to receiving your application.
