About the Opportunities

We are currently actively recruiting multiple Learning & Development roles to support key Technical Learning initiatives, required to support capability maintenance, uplift and future requirements for ASC needs.

This campaign brings together several exciting opportunities across the L&D team, including technical learning, systems and leadership. You will be considered for current vacancies as well as upcoming roles scheduled to commence in the coming months.

We are currently recruiting multiple Learning & Development roles across South Australia (SA) and Western Australia (WA), with opportunities available on both a permanent and 24-month contract basis. These roles offer the chance to contribute to high-impact programs within a growing and evolving L&D function.

Responsibilities

L&D professionals with experience spanning specialist, leadership, and learning technology disciplines, demonstrated across the following areas:

  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify technical capability gaps and design learning solutions aligned to business priorities
  • Design, develop, and consult high-quality learning programs, including digital, instructor-led, and blended solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure effective program delivery and strong engagement
  • Integrate and leverage learning technologies (e.g. LMS, digital tools) to enhance learning experiences and accessibility
  • Lead or support end-to-end project delivery of learning initiatives, including planning, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and provide insights through reporting on capability, compliance, and program impact
  • Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and best practice standards across all learning activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, change initiatives, and provide expert L&D advice to support organisational capability uplift
  • Contribute to and learn from one of the largest learning and development teams in the country

About you 

You are a capable and adaptable Learning & Development professional with experience delivering impactful learning solutions across complex organisational environments. You bring a strong blend of stakeholder engagement, technical capability, and a passion for contemporary learning practices.

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, OD, Learning & Development, Adult Education, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in L&D, with depth aligned to your level (specialist through to leadership), ideally within multi-site or complex organisations
  • Previous experience in an enterprise ICT environment, ideally introducing new technologies, software, and systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging learning technologies, with a clear understanding of implementation requirements and constraints within air-gapped network environments
  • Previous experience in an LMS administration capacity
  • Experience in leading L&D technology projects from inception to completion
  • Strong written communication skills, including the development of high-level business documentation such as reports, proposals, and business cases
  • Strong understanding of contemporary learning practices, including program design, development, and evaluation
  • Experience working with learning technologies (e.g. LMS, digital learning tools) and an understanding of system integrations and capabilities
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels, with the confidence to translate complex concepts into practical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate learning impact and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities across BAU and project-based work
  • Collaborative and customer-focused, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team

Eligibility

These roles require a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a Baseline/NV1 level. Your eligibility for these roles is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. 

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for these roles, as these roles require an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
