About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, constructing and maintaining garden landscapes across a range of projects on Sydney's Northern Beaches and surrounds.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Working closely with the team to bring client landscape concepts to life, including selecting suitable plants, materials and finishes, and coordinating construction schedules to meet project timelines

· Marking out and building a variety of hard and soft landscape elements in line with design specifications and client briefs

· Carrying out construction of outdoor living features including paved pathways, retaining walls, timber fencing, pergolas, water features, ponds and bespoke garden structures characteristic of the Visual Escapes aesthetic

· Preparing and conditioning growing areas, including soil cultivation, drainage assessment and site readiness prior to planting

· Selecting and establishing trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, flowering species and bulbs suited to Sydney's Northern Beaches climate and coastal conditions

· Creating and finishing lawn areas through soil preparation, turf laying and grass seeding to achieve the high-quality presentation expected across Visual Escapes' residential and commercial projects

· Providing ongoing care and upkeep of completed landscapes to maintain the standard of finished gardens delivered to clients

Required Skills and Experience

· AQF Certificate III in Horticulture (Landscape) or equivalent, including at least two years of on-the-job training; OR AQF Certificate IV in Horticulture or equivalent

· At least one year of relevant practical experience in landscape gardening

· Demonstrated experience in hardscape and softscape construction

· Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and drawings

· Sound knowledge of plants, soils and horticultural practices

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Valid driver's licence (desirable)
