Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced driver to join our dedicated team operating a 3-tonne van for multi-drop deliveries across the Perth metro area. However, a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence is essential, as you may be required to drive HR vehicles when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily multi-pickups & deliveries of pallets, cartons & other freight items, ensuring timely drop-offs at depots for various clients.
- Operate 3 Tonne Van or heavy rigid vehicle in a safe & organised manner, adhering to all road safety regulations.
- Correctly & accurately deliver consignments, ensuring no damage or loss occurs.
- Complete assigned jobs within the time allocated, with a primary focus on daily delivery & collection schedules.
- Ability to manage & prioritise jobs in a dynamic, adhoc booking system where delivery needs can change unexpectedly.
- Flexibility to adjust routes & schedules to accommodate priority jobs that arise.
- Strict adherence to all safety procedures & policies.
Requirements:
- Valid Heavy Rigid Driver’s Licence (WA).
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience operating a Heavy Rigid truck.
- Competency in Load Restraint.
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (desirable).
- Familiarity with the Perth metro area.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing minor vehicle maintenance (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently & adapt to changing conditions.
- Full Australian Work Rights.
- National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months from start date)
- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including medical, drug & alcohol screening, and driving assessment.
