Full-Time Painter

KOTAM Projects Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Painter to join our team.

Business Location: Pooraka SA 5095

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces before painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primers.
2. Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
3. Erect scaffolding and ladders and place drop sheets to protect surrounding areas during painting work.
4. Remove old paint, wallpaper, and damaged materials and repair surfaces as required.
5. Fill cracks and holes and ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for finishing.
6. Mix and match paint colours to required specifications.
7. Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish and compliance with industry standards.
8. Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
9. Maintain professional communication with clients, suppliers, and team members on a daily basis.

Skills and Qualifications

1. AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
2. Preferred qualification: Certificate III or IV in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent or higher qualification).
3. Ability to work full-time .
4. Demonstrated passion for the painting and decorating industry.
5. Flexibility to work additional hours where required by the business.
6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
