Full-time Hairdresser

PB08 Hairdressers & Beauty Salon is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Hairdresser to join our team.

Salary Range – $75,000 - $80,000

Business Location – Cranbourne VIC 3977

Responsibilities

1. Providing advice on hair care, beauty products and hairstyles Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hair care and styling.
2. Offer personalized recommendations based on clients' hair types, concerns, and preferences.
3. Shampooing hair and conditioning scalps Assess clients' scalp and hair condition before selecting appropriate products.
4. Massage scalp gently to stimulate blood circulation and promote relaxation.
5. Colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair with chemical solutions Conduct thorough consultations to understand clients' desired outcomes and assess the health of their hair.
6. Follow safety protocols to minimize the risk of chemical damage and ensure proper application techniques.
7. Cutting hair with scissors, clippers, and razors Utilize precision cutting techniques to achieve desired styles and lengths.
8. Pay attention to detail and ensure symmetrical cuts for a polished look.
9. Styling hair into dreadlocks and braids and adding hair extensions Customize styles to match clients' preferences and personalities.
10. Provide aftercare instructions to maintain the longevity of hairstyles and extensions.
11. Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches Use straight razors or electric trimmers to shape and groom facial hair.
12. Offer grooming tips for maintaining facial hair between salon visits.
13. Cleaning work areas and sanitising instruments Adhere to strict hygiene protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
14. Regularly disinfect tools and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
15. Arranging appointments and collecting payments Maintain organized scheduling systems to effectively manage client bookings.
16. Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and handling transactions promptly and accurately.
17. May clean, colour, cut and style wigs and hairpieces Assess the condition of wigs and hairpieces and recommend appropriate treatments or repairs.
18. Customize wig styles and colors to match clients' preferences and natural hair.

Skills and Qualifications

1. AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hairdressing qualification.
2. Strong Knowledge of Haircut Methods and operating tools and equipment
3. Prior experience cutting and styling hair in a salon
4. Friendly and professional demeanour
5. Ability to work Full Time
6. Flexible to work on a rotating roster.
7. Excellent communication and customer service skills
