We are seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our growing construction team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Formwork Construction: Build, assemble, and install formwork structures according to construction plans and specifications.
2. Interpretation of Blueprints: Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to determine formwork requirements.
3. Material Handling: Select, cut, and shape formwork materials (wood, metal, or plastic) to meet the specific dimensions of the project.
4. Concrete Pouring Support: Work closely with concrete pouring teams to ensure formwork is correctly positioned and secure, ready for concrete placement.
5. Quality Control: Inspect and maintain formwork to ensure it meets safety standards and project specifications. Identify and correct any defects.
6. Dismantling Formwork: Once the concrete has set, safely remove formwork structures without damaging the concrete or surrounding structures.

8. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
9. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other construction workers, including steel fixers, carpenters, and laborers, to ensure the smooth progression of the project.
10. Site Clean-up: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper disposal of waste materials.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Proven experience as a form worker or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
3. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
4. Strong understanding of construction techniques and safety practices.
5. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
7. Certifications: White Card - Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S); Induction for working on commercial
