As our company is expanding rapidly, we are looking for a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter who shares our vision to join our team. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.
About the role
We are seeking a hardworking and safety-focused Formwork Carpenter for a hybrid role involving formwork, and steel fixing support. This is a great opportunity to join a growing industrial steel fixing and shotcreting company known for quality work and a supportive team. You will work across residential, commercial, and civil projects, handling formwork installation, stripping, and structural preparation. Multiple projects are based in Adelaide, as well as FIFO work available for those looking to earn more.
Key Responsibilities include
•studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
•ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
•cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
•erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures
•nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
•assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
•cutting wood joints
What We're Looking For:
•AQF Certificate III or IV in Carpentry or relevant field (required)
•Proven experience in civil and commercial structure construction (required)
•Construction White Card (preferred)
•Ability to read and interpret both formwork and steel reinforcement drawings
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
•Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
•Ability to work well within a team environment
•Experience leading a team (nice to have)
•Additional tickets are highly regarded (eg. EWP, working at heights)
