Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet and Workshop Manager to oversee fleet maintenance, workshop operations, compliance, and equipment performance within a highly regulated transport environment.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring fleet reliability, workshop efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the safe transport of dangerous goods while leading a team of workshop personnel.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing daily workshop operations and fleet maintenance activities
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensuring compliance with dangerous goods, transport, and licensing requirements
  • Coordinating repairs, servicing, inspections, and breakdown response
  • Managing workshop budgets, inventory, and critical spare parts
  • Monitoring fleet performance and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Recommending fleet replacements, upgrades, and new equipment
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting workshop staff
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience managing fleet maintenance and workshop operations
  • Experience within transport operations involving hazardous substances
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of maintenance compliance and fleet management systems
  • Sound budgeting, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
