As the Fleet Allocator, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of the daily transport operations. You will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective allocation of transport related tasks to company drivers, captive sub-contractors, and outside hire in this area.

Start Time: 4:30 AM

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage daily pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time performance (DIFOT).
  • Allocate fleet and driver resources to meet service and cost objectives.
  • Monitor job progress and communicate delivery updates to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, COR, Fatigue and Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Avoid and minimize exposure to rail linehaul cancellation, no-show and storage fees at Terminals with proactive planning.
  • Report and manage incidents, including Drug & Alcohol testing and TRAC entries.
  • Conduct thorough shift handovers for seamless operations.
  • Foster open communication across teams and branches.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in planning/scheduling for Intermodal fleet (Sydney Metro preferred).
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S, COR, Dangerous Goods Code, and national transport legislation.
  • Exceptional skills in planning, time management, problem-solving and communication.
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to influence and adapt.
  • Experience working in a safety-first environment.
  • Tertiary or TAFE qualifications in Transport & Logistics (desirable).

KPIs You’ll Be Measured On:

  • Meeting safety lead/lag indicators.
  • Completion of staff induction and competency assessments.
  • Meeting customer DIFOT targets.
  • Operating within budget and cost parameters.
