About the role

Key responsibilities:

Your focus will be overseeing the financial operations of the business. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving financial performance within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities will be (not limited to):

• Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the financial and accounting activities of the company

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business objectives

• Prepare accurate financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis

• Monitor purchase costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS)

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability

• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant industry requirements (including TGA where applicable)

• Manage internal controls, risk management processes, and financial governance

• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger functions

• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies

• Support senior management with strategic planning, investment decisions, and business expansion initiatives

Key requirements:

• Bachelor degree or higher in finance, accounting or a related field

• Minimum 1 years’ experience in similar role.

• Great attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management

• Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems

• Able to work autonomously, as well as a part of a team
