Our client is a growing Australian company that designs and builds smart recycling equipment, including automated vending machines and compactors.

We are seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team.

About the Role

This role offers the best of both worlds: building advanced recycling machinery in the workshop and heading out on-site to install and service it. If you want a job where you can work independently, solve problems, and help the environment, this is it.

Responsibilities

• Keep recycling equipment and smart vending machines (automation/robotics) running safely and smoothly.

• Help build machinery in the workshop (conveyors, crushers, and electrical parts).

• Travel to customer sites to set up new machines and fix issues.

• Use hand tools and diagrams to find faults and do routine maintenance.

• Work well with our workshop team and manage your own tasks on-site.

Requirements

If you are motivated and eager to learn about automation, we will provide the training.

• Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and basic software systems.

• Ability to find and fix faults quickly.

• Experience using power tools and reading technical drawings.

• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude.

• A current Australian Open Driver’s Licence.

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and wearing PPE.

What is on offer

• $85,000 - $95,000 + superannuation + paid overtime
• Choose between Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) OR extra pay (normal rate for the first 3 hours, then 1.5x after that)
