We are seeking an experienced ERP Specialist to drive the performance, security, and evolution of our enterprise systems environment.

Role Overview

The ERP Specialist will serve as the primary technical authority for Rusca Developments' enterprise resource planning ecosystem and associated software platforms. This role is integral to ensuring that our systems effectively support operations across construction project tracking, financial management, procurement, and workforce coordination. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a commercial mindset, aligning technology capabilities to the strategic needs of a growing developments business.

Key Responsibilities

The ERP Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Research, consult, analyse and evaluate ERP system and software program requirements across Rusca Developments' operational divisions, including construction, procurement, finance and project delivery, ensuring solutions are aligned to business growth objectives.
  2. Identify technology gaps, limitations and deficiencies within existing ERP platforms, related processes and operational workflows, and develop targeted recommendations to address these shortcomings in the context of Rusca Developments' project lifecycle needs.
  3. Test, debug, diagnose and resolve errors and faults within ERP application programming environments, adhering to established testing protocols, quality standards and technical security guidelines to ensure all platforms and integrated controls perform reliably across construction and development operations.
  4. Write, maintain and enhance program code that meets Rusca Developments' system requirements, technical specifications and design standards, ensuring ERP configurations support accurate reporting, project costing, contract management and regulatory compliance.
  5. Develop, update and maintain technical documentation, end-user guides and operational procedures for all ERP-related systems, empowering Rusca Developments' staff across project management, finance and site operations to effectively utilise enterprise platforms.
  6. Provide expert advice and strategic guidance on software design proposals, including financial assessments and cost-benefit evaluations to support informed decisions around ERP and enterprise software procurement, upgrades and licensing.
  7. Oversee and manage the testing and automation of ERP software deployments and application updates, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless integration with Rusca Developments' project management and financial systems.
  8. Collect, monitor and analyse operational and system performance metrics to inform technology decisions, improve system reliability and report on ERP health across the business.
  9. Design and implement continuous improvement and continuous delivery strategies across Rusca Developments' ERP architecture, driving efficiencies in system design, software development cycles and operational workflows.
  10. Develop and maintain the internal tools, utilities and frameworks required to manage, support and secure Rusca Developments' enterprise software environment throughout its operational lifecycle.
  11. Conduct forensic analysis of system logs, data flows and access records to detect anomalies, investigate irregularities and identify potential threats within the ERP environment.
  12. Implement and manage encryption and decryption protocols to protect sensitive project, financial and stakeholder data within Rusca Developments' enterprise systems.
  13. Proactively identify, assess and mitigate technical and security risks throughout the product and system lifecycle, ensuring the ongoing performance, integrity and resilience of Rusca Developments' ERP infrastructure.

Qualifications & Experience

The following qualifications and experience are required for this position:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline (mandatory).
  2. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive, hands-on experience in ERP systems management, enterprise software development or a closely related technical discipline.
  3. Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring and supporting ERP platforms within complex, project-based or construction environments is highly regarded.
  4. Proven track record in software testing, debugging, code development and deployment automation within enterprise-grade systems.
  5. Strong experience in cybersecurity practices including encryption, forensic analysis, threat identification and risk mitigation within ERP or enterprise software environments.
  6. Solid understanding of system performance metrics collection, analysis and reporting to inform continuous improvement strategies.
  7. Experience producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation and operational procedures for varied user audiences.
  8. Ability to translate complex technical requirements into commercially viable software design proposals and procurement recommendations.
