Position Summary
The Engineering Technologist (Coffee Machine Systems) is responsible for analysing and improving engineering technologies used in domestic coffee machines and related equipment. The role applies engineering principles to testing, diagnostics, implementation, servicing, and system optimisation to improve equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and evaluate the performance of domestic coffee machines and related equipment.
• Conduct testing, fault diagnosis, and performance assessments.
• Apply engineering solutions to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and functionality.
• Perform calibration, maintenance, software updates, and equipment modifications.
• Assess mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and thermal systems.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to evaluate system performance.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain service documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
• Relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree, or higher in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Engineering Technologist, ideally within the coffee machine industry. Experience analysing, testing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of pumps, boilers, thermal systems, electrical components, and electronic control systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
