Job Description
Our client is a privately owned and highly respected electrical contractor with over 25 years of success delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, telecommunications and security projects across Queensland. With multiple offices across SE QLD and a strong reputation for delivering complex multi-million-dollar projects, the business continues to secure landmark developments throughout the region.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the construction division, based in Toowoomba and working on the new Toowoomba Hospital project.
The opportunity
This is a key leadership opportunity for a commercially minded Electrical Project Manager with proven experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects. Working alongside a team of experienced industry professionals, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of a landmark healthcare project from planning through to completion.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery including project planning, financial management, stakeholder coordination, resource management and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget. Key duties will include:
- Manage projects from concept through to completion
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones and deliverables
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with budget, schedule and quality expectations
- Manage project financials including forecasting, variations and cost control
- Interpret and administer contracts effectively
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and Tier One builders
- Coordinate labour and materials to ensure efficient project delivery
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly progress claims
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks and issues
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience managing large-scale commercial electrical projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery
- Experience working alongside Tier One builders
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
