The Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Educators and Room Leaders to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Educator
- Assisting in the implementation of educational and play-based learning programs
- Supporting children’s emotional, social and developmental needs
- Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Assisting with observations, learning documentation and developmental records
- Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment
- Assisting with meal times, hygiene routines and daily care needs
- Building positive relationships with families, children and team members
- Ensuring compliance with centre policies, EYLF principles and child safety requirements
Room Leader
- Leading and supervising a team of educators within the assigned room
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational programs
- Monitoring children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Preparing observations, portfolios and developmental reports
- Supporting children’s transition and school readiness outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and centre procedures
- Communicating effectively with families regarding children’s progress and daily activities
- Mentoring and supporting junior educators and trainees
Skills and Requirements
- Educators: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care plus 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Room leaders: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care plus 1 year experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for early childhood education and child development
