Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disabled Carer to provide high-quality care and support to people living with disabilities. The successful candidate will assist clients to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in their home and community environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks.
- Administer or assist with medications as directed in care plans.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate client records and progress notes.
- Provide emotional support and promote client independence and choice.
- Follow individual support plans, workplace policies, and safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate III or higher qualification in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or related field.
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred.
