About the Role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Stores Manager role is responsible for overseeing and managing the accurate stock and textile levels of the Branch, by planning, directing, monitoring and controlling the activities of Textile store.

The Main Tasks & Responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Organises, manages and controls investigation of the economic use of textile products marketed by the company
  • Conducts random counting of soiled linen and checks the results through the soil counting section
  • Spot checks Service and Distribution vehicles for proper cleaning of stocks of linen
  • Identify economic use of downgraded products.
  • Performs annual review of Textile Stores audit procedures
  • Advises and assists other Department Managers in the fulfillment of their functions relating to the Stores function
  • Internal and external stock control
  • Purchase departmental requirements in accordance with company policy and guidelines.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • People management experience, including leading teams from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • The ability to run reports, understand data and make decision based on analysing results
  • Intermediate to Advanced level MS Office skills, including Excel
  • Understanding of LEAN principals and a working knowledge of how to apply them in a manufacturing / operations environments, including 5s
  • Significant operations management experienced gained in the same or similar role
  • Experience in working in a partnership model with other departments at branch / site to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
