Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of Indian dishes including curries, biryanis, tandoori meats, and breads
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes
- Assist in menu planning and development of seasonal or new menu items
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety standards
- Work efficiently in a high-demand, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in Indian cuisine preferred
- Relevant qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
