About the Role
The Cook position is responsible for cooking menu items and supporting day-to-day kitchen operations within a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment. The role supports food service delivery by ensuring food is cooked consistently, efficiently, and in line with established recipes, kitchen procedures, and service standards.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Examine food ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment during food preparation
- Cook menu items in line with established recipes and kitchen procedures
- Season food during cooking to maintain consistency and taste standards
- Portion food, plate dishes, and add sauces, gravies, and garnishes before service
- Store food and ingredients appropriately in temperature-controlled storage areas
- Prepare meals in accordance with dietary and customer requirements where required
- Assist with monitoring stock levels and food usage within the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to support smooth kitchen operations
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of full-time relevant work experience in a similar role
- Experience working within a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen workflow
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
