Position – Cook

Salary Range – A$75,000 – A$85,000

China Bar Midland Perth is looking for full time Cook to join our team. We have been known as a good place for Chinese food, quality food at affordable price to all different crowds. We have conveniently located at Midland in a regular eat out spot for customers.

Our restaurant is currently looking for an experienced cook who is passionate and wants to be key member of a small and efficient kitchen team.

Key responsibilities:

·Inspect food preparation and serve areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices

· Prepare, season, and cook food according to recipes

· Adjust recipes and cook to accommodate customers’ dietary requirements

· Operating kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently

· Portion, arrange and garnish food to ensure a perfect presentation

· Store food in temperature-controlled equipment

· Develop menus to use fresh, seasonal foods and meet special dietary needs

· Maintain, order stocks and supplies and assist in menu budgeting

· Supervise and provide training to new kitchen staff

·Maintain a high standard of hygiene, OHS & Food Safety procedures in the kitchen

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

·A minimum 1 year relevant cooking experience

· Minimum qualification of Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or above

· An excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

· Accuracy and speed with an eye for detail

·A team focus and 'can do' attitude

We are expecting the candidate to have at least Cert IV and above qualification in relevant cookery discipline with at least 1 year work experience, or 3 years work experience being in the relevant cuisine.

We are offering this position in full-time basis 38 hours per week with the salary range of A$75,000 - A$85,000.
