About The Company: The Ghan Kebab House is a family-owned restaurant in Adelaide, offering authentic Afghan cuisine at our Kilburn and South Brighton locations. We take pride in delivering freshly prepared dishes that reflect the rich heritage of Afghan flavors while providing an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

Requirements: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dynamic team in the South Brighton venue. The ideal candidate will have a flair for food innovation, a commitment to quality and thrive in a fast-paced environment across the following tasks:

1. Washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits & vegetables to prepare them for consumption;
2. Carving and trimming foods to ready them for different dishes;
3. Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes & personal judgment;
4. Regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters;
5. Seasoning and cooking foods according to recipes & personal judgment;
6. Turning & stirring foods to ensure even cooking;
7. Observing and testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently;
8. Portioning, arranging, and garnishing dishes, and passing them to wait-staff for service;
9. Estimating food requirements and storing foods in temperature controlled facilities;
10. Minimising food wastage and maintaining excellent hygiene standards;
11. Assisting in training other kitchen staff where required.

About The Candidate: The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III or IV or relevant degree qualification in a related field with 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. To apply, applicants are invited to send through a CV outlining qualifications and experience.
