Korpan PTY LTD ( Regal Plus) is a Japanese concept café and restaurant located in Warabrook, Newcastle.

We are seeking full-time Cook to join our growing business.

kills and Experience Required

1. At least 2~3 years experience in a similar role
2. Experience in cooking made to order with emphasis on Japanese style cuisine
3. Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery
4. Experience in leading a team of kitchen and restaurant staff
5. The passion to create dishes and be pro-active in designing seasonal menus
6. High level of understanding of OH&S Procedures
7. Excellent interpersonal skills and great ability to work as part of a team.

Duties:

1. examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
2. regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
3. preparing and cooking food
4. seasoning food during cooking
5. portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
6. storing food in temperature controlled facilities
7. preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
8. may plan menus and estimate food requirements
9. may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
