Established in 2018, the business has rapidly expanded across multiple locations throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, and the ACT, providing dine-in, takeaway, and group dining services to a broad customer base. Kickin’Inn is recognised for its unique hands-on dining concept, vibrant atmosphere, and commitment to delivering high-quality seafood and memorable customer experiences.

We are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing and cooking high-quality seafood and menu items, maintaining food quality and presentation standards, and ensuring efficient service during busy operational periods. The successful candidate will contribute to upholding Kickin’Inn’s reputation for quality, consistency, and exceptional customer dining experiences.

Salary Range: 75,000 to 80,000 AUD per annum

Work Location / Venue: Shop R102, Strathpine Centre, 295 Gympie Rd, Strathpine, QLD 4500

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of seafood boil dishes, fried seafood items, grilled menu items, burgers, sides, and sauces in accordance with Kickin’Inn’s established recipes and preparation standards.
  2. Assist in food preparation tasks including cleaning seafood, portioning ingredients, preparing sauces, marinating items, and assembling dishes for service.
  3. Ensure all dishes are produced consistently and presented in line with Kickin’Inn’s food quality, flavour, and presentation standards.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, cooking equipment, food preparation stations, and storage areas throughout daily operations.
  5. Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times while ensuring proper handling and storage of seafood and perishable ingredients.
  6. Assist senior kitchen staff and chefs during busy service periods to support efficient kitchen operations and timely food delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a commercial kitchen.
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during service.
  4. Proven attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen
